The Columbia Basin make the most of 5 hits in 5-3 victory over the Spokane

The Columbia Basin (14-4) and the Spokane (10-7) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Columbia Basin that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-3 win at Spokane Falls Community College.

Kayla Andrews racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Columbia Basin. He homered in the first inning.

Michele Strauss had an impressive outing against the Columbia Basin's lineup. Strauss held the Columbia Basin hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Andrews recorded his twelfth win of the year for the Columbia Basin. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Andrews struck out two, walked none and gave up 10 hits.

Mackenzie Olson (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
