Kayla Andrews powered the Columbia Basin (9-4) at the plate and on the hill Friday, willing the Columbia Basin to a 9-5 victory over the Wenatchee Valley.

Andrews racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Columbia Basin. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the first and fourth innings.

The Wenatchee Valley (2-5) had no answer for Andrews, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Wenatchee Valley managed just two hits off of Andrews, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out three during his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Allie Kopczynski racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wenatchee Valley. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Brooke Writer (0-2) took the loss for the Wenatchee Valley. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
