The Centralia jump on the Olympic early and coast to 13-3 win

The Centralia (13-15) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Olympic (12-18), recording a 13-3 victory on Wednesday.

Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the Centralia to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Gehrig Teahon and a two-run single by Trevor Zimmerman in the first inning and a single by Christian Lopez, an RBI single by Eric Fich, a two-run double by Austin Hines, an error, a single by Josh Muneno, and a single by Teahon during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Centralia.

Fich racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Centralia.

Carter Owens picked up the win for the Centralia. Owens allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Taichi Sasaki reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Ryan Gelwicks (1-2) took the loss for the Olympic. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.
