Varun Kuo boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Ontario. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
The Quebec couldn't get anything going as long as Naylor was pitching. Naylor held the Quebec hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Despite the loss, the Quebec's Viktor Bergeron dominated the Ontario's batters, giving up one run and striking out six.
Ryan Douglas recorded his first win of the year for the Ontario. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Edouard Savoie ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
