The Quebec offense too much for the Prince Edward Island in 13-1 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Quebec (4-1) jumped out to an early lead on the Prince Edward Island (5-2) and captured a 13-1 victory on Sunday at BBoys Vaughan Grove one.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Quebec left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Justin LArcheveque and a passed ball during the first inning and in the second inning fueled the Quebec's offense early.

Edouard Savoie was solid at the plate for the Quebec. Savoie went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings.

The Prince Edward Island had no answer for Xavier Leduc, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Prince Edward Island managed just one hit off of Leduc, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Luis Armando Gutierrez Cyr improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quebec. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Chandler Laporte ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
