The Chillicothe Paints (1-1) pounded the West Virginia Miners (1-1) on Saturday 9-1 at Linda K. Epling Stadium.

The Chillicothe Paints scored four runs in the sixth on the Chillicothe Paints scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Matt Eppers, a two-run triple by Grant Miller, and an RBI double by Dylan Jones.

Miller racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints.

The West Virginia Miners couldn't get anything going so long as Tanner Allison was on the hill. The West Virginia Miners managed just three hits off of the the Chillicothe Paints' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Tyler Wirsu (0-1) took the loss for the West Virginia Miners. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
