Daniella Matteucci had two extra base hits as the British Columbia (2-0) took home a 6-5 victory over the Qu��bec 21U (0-1) at Stade Richard-Desmeules on Friday.

Marguerite Cecil reached base three times in the game for the Qu��bec 21U. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Heather Healey improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the British Columbia. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Healey struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Anne-Sophie Lavallee couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Qu��bec 21U, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

The British Columbia were sparked by Stephanie Caron and Matteucci, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
