The Victor RailRiders (3-2) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (5-1) roared back to steal an 8-4 victory at Veterans Memorial Park.

An RBI single by Andrew Turner gave the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs the lead in the sixth inning.

Chris Rave reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Anthony Herrera pitched lights out for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. Herrera gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Adam Ashenfarb improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Dylan Swetman was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
