Three first-inning runs helped the Yakima Valley (15-8) to a 4-2 win over the Columbia Basin (17-4) at Parker Field on Wednesday.

The Yakima Valley scored in the first on and a two-run single by Parker Depasquale.

Depasquale racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Yakima Valley.

Chris Petrosie picked up the win for the Yakima Valley. Petrosie pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out three.

Nathan Buckner was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked five, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
