The Newton Rebels scored in the ninth on a wild pitch, , a sacrifice fly by Daulton Horton, a single by JJ Perez, , and a triple by Bowe Behymer.

Behymer racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Newton Rebels.

The Newton Rebels relied on Zach Skelton to eat up innings en route to the win. Skelton allowed three earned runs, seven hits and five walks while striking out six over 8 1/3 innings of work.

Bradley Altdoerffer was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
