The Park City Rangers' late runs seal 12-5 blowout over the Puerto Rico National Collegiate

The Park City Rangers (2-0) blew out the Puerto Rico National Collegiate (1-1) 12-5 on Sunday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium after pouring on 10 runs in the eighth inning.

The Park City Rangers scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Taylor Herrington, a fielder's choice, a sacrifice fly by Jared Sterling, an RBI double by Lucas Norton, a two-run double by Chad Kennedy, a two-run triple by Aaron Mack, and a two-run home run by Drew Thompson.

Kolton Brown racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Park City Rangers. He singled in the sixth inning.

Franklin Pena racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Puerto Rico National Collegiate. He homered in the seventh inning.

Thompson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Park City Rangers. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

William Alvarez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
