Shane Wlodarczak came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Wlodarczak reached on a error in the five to lead the Burnaby (BC1 (2-0) to a 10-9 win over the Saskatchewan (0-2) on Friday at Currie Field.

With the Burnaby (BC1 trailing by one in the fifth inning, reached on an error, plating Darren Honeysett.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 15 hits during the game.

Even in defeat, Nolan Legien played well for the Saskatchewan.

Legien racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Saskatchewan. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Legien baffled the Burnaby (BC1, striking out seven batters. Legien allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over 3 1/3 innings.

The Saskatchewan were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Saskatchewan were ahead until the fifth inning, but the Burnaby (BC1 would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Mitchell Jackman.

Brandon Chernoff recorded his first win for the Burnaby (BC1 even though he allowed nine runs over four innings. Chernoff struck out two, walked four and gave up seven hits.

Legien (0-1) took the loss for the Saskatchewan.
