Shane Wlodarczak came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Wlodarczak reached on a error in the five to lead the Burnaby (BC1 (2-0) to a 10-9 win over the Saskatchewan (0-2) on Friday at Currie Field.

The Saskatchewan were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Saskatchewan were ahead until the fifth inning, but the Burnaby (BC1 would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Mitchell Jackman.

Brandon Chernoff recorded his first win for the Burnaby (BC1 even though he allowed nine runs over four innings. Chernoff struck out two, walked four and gave up seven hits.

Legien (0-1) took the loss for the Saskatchewan.
