Alex Lipman went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Herndon Braves (16-18) to a 7-3 victory in seven innings over the Alexandria Aces (15-15) on Friday at Herndon High School.

Malcolm Nachmanoff went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Alexandria Aces. He tripled in the second innings and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Connor Hall improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Herndon Braves. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered five hits.

Nick DiEva (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
