Matt Pagano had two extra base hits, sparking the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (16-15) to a 4-3 victory over the Utica Brewers (14-18) on Friday at Murnane Field at Donovan Stadiu.

Lucas Godlewski pitched lights out for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. Godlewski gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Chase Cleary allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out one over seven innings of work.

Zachary Vennaro improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Tim Benner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
