The Manitoba (4-0) blew out the Alberta 14-3 on Friday at BBoys Vaughan Grove two after pouring on 11 runs in the third inning.
The Manitoba scored in the third on a two-run single by Tristan Peters, a fielder's choice, a two-run error, an RBI single by Owen Harms, an RBI single by Martin Gisiger, a hit by pitch, a two-run single by Adam Senden, and a steal of home by Peters.
Gisiger did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Manitoba, reaching base three times. He scored four runs and had one RBI.
Jack Howard had a hot bat for the Alberta (2-2). Howard went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the second inning.
Luke Spadafora pitched lights out for the Alberta. Spadafora held the Manitoba hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Gisiger improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Manitoba. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered four hits.
Jack Marlin was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
