Tyson McInnis went 2-3, sparking the Prince Edward Island (5-1) to a 4-2 victory in seven innings over the Alberta (2-4) on Thursday at BBoys Vaughan Grove three.

Chandler Laporte had an impressive outing against the Alberta's lineup. Laporte held the Alberta hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

The Prince Edward Island couldn't get anything going so long as Noah Penney was on the hill. The Prince Edward Island managed just one hit off of the the Alberta's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Connor McGregor recorded his second win of the year for the Prince Edward Island. He allowed one run over three innings. McGregor struck out six, walked one and gave up no hits.

Mitchell Dennis (0-1) took the loss for the Alberta. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
