The Qu��bec two (2-2) jumped on the Alberta (0-3) early on their way to a 9-4 win on Saturday at Parc Laverdiere one in eight innings, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Qu��bec two scored in the first on an RBI single by Nicolas Goulet, an RBI single by Goulet, and a two-run double by Jeremy Therrien.

The Qu��bec two were led by Xavier Lemieux Morrissette's hitting. Lemieux Morrissette went 3-4, drove in one and scored four runs. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Alberta's lineup had no answer for Alastair Mitchell. Mitchell held the Alberta hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Derek Palmiere racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Alberta. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Antoine Boucher got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over 2 2/3 innings. Boucher struck out four, walked one and gave up five hits.

Matthew Neufeld (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
