The Ontario three (1-0) and the Atlantic (PEI (0-1) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Ontario three capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at Parc Laverdiere one.

Jackson Kotecha had an impressive outing against the Atlantic (PEI's lineup. Kotecha held the Atlantic (PEI hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Sam McKinney put together a nice outing. McKinney held the Ontario three hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

Hunter Nurse recorded his first win of the year for the Ontario three. Nurse struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

Tanner MacLean ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
