Tim Yandel collected three hits, sparking the Bethesda Big Train (23-9) to a 7-2 victory in seven innings over the Herndon Braves (15-16) on Monday at Herndon High School.

The Herndon Braves' lineup had no answer for Mark Nowatnick. The Herndon Braves managed just two hits off of Nowatnick, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out six during his six innings of work.

Alex Lipman reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Jordan Chudacoff was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
