A walk-off single from Madison Beaird brought home the winning run for the Gateway Grizzlies (15-29) in a 3-2 victory over the Rockford Aviators (27-16) in 12 innings at GCS Ballpark on Tuesday.

Beaird was hot from the plate for the Gateway Grizzlies. Beaird went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the twelfth inning.

Brett Zawacki got the win, running his season record to 4-1. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Eric Cendejas (1-1) took the loss for the Rockford Aviators. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
