The Baltimore Redbirds (15-4) took down the Herndon Braves 11-0 on Friday at Calvert Hall HS after slamming the Herndon Braves (6-8) with six runs in the fifth inning.

The Baltimore Redbirds scored in the fifth on , a double by Mac Caples, , a double by Martin Costes, and a groundout by Zack Gahagan.

Caples racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Baltimore Redbirds.

The Herndon Braves had no answer for Jason Morgan, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Morgan gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Samuel Bjorngjeld was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
