Shaun Wood went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Vienna River Dogs (21-19) to a 3-2 victory in seven innings over the SS-T T Bolts (20-20) on Thursday at James Madison High School.

The SS-T T Bolts couldn't get anything going so long as Charlie Fletcher was on the hill. The SS-T T Bolts managed just two hits off of Fletcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out seven during his six innings of work.

Brandon Jean improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Vienna River Dogs. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Conrad Wozniak (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
