The Seacoast Mavericks (6-10) and the Brockton Rox (9-7) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Seacoast Mavericks capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at Campanelli Stadium.

The Brockton Rox's lineup had no answer for Zachary Sloan. The Brockton Rox managed just two hits off of the the Seacoast Mavericks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Robbie Coursel was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Seacoast Mavericks batters and allowing two runs.

Alex Pantuso couldn't get it done on the hill for the Brockton Rox, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
