Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as the Top Speed Baseball (16-3) outscored the Nevada Big Horns (6-8) 14-9.
The two teams combined for 31 hits in the game.
The Top Speed Baseball came out swinging, scoring six runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Nevada Big Horns early. The Top Speed Baseball scored in the first on a sacrifice fly by Drew Taylor, an RBI single by Matt Martinez, an RBI single by Martinez, a two-run double by Champi Lucca, and a wild pitch.
Martinez racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Top Speed Baseball.
The Top Speed Baseball relied on Jeremy Bagnall to eat up innings en route to the win. Bagnall pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out three.
Alec West (0-1) took the loss for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed six runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked four and struck out none.
