DeLuzio's walk-off single send the Hyannis Harbor Hawks home winners, 2-1

A walk-off single from Ben DeLuzio brought home the winning run for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (9-6) in a 2-1 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers at McKeon Park on Thursday.

DeLuzio paced the Hyannis Harbor Hawks at the plate. DeLuzio went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the ninth inning.

JaVon Shelby had a hot bat for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Shelby went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Nick Deeg allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out six over eight innings of work.

Jon Woodcock was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Hyannis Harbor Hawks batters and allowing one run.

Thomas Burrows got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Justin Dunn ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
