An impressive effort by Luke Tomczyk lifted the Victor RailRiders (7-4) to a 2-0 win in seven innings over the Newark Pilots (4-8) on Saturday at Victor High School.
Tomczyk held the Newark Pilots scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out four.
Clayton Spiker couldn't get it done on the bump for the Newark Pilots, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
