The Butler BlueSox make the most of 9 hits in 5-4 victory over the Richmond RiverRats

Both the Butler BlueSox (9-13) and the Richmond RiverRats (7-14) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Butler BlueSox that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-4 win at McBride Stadium.

Allan Hooker racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Butler BlueSox. He homered in the second inning.

Nick Moore boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Richmond RiverRats. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Larry Wood improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler BlueSox. He allowed three runs over six innings. Wood struck out two, walked one and gave up nine hits.

Nick Coudret (1-1) took the loss for the Richmond RiverRats. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
