Wes Todd kept the Alexandria Aces (2-4) off the board during his six innings of work and the Herndon Braves (4-3) beat the Alexandria Aces, 3-2.

Todd struck out one and allowed two walks and eight hits.

The Herndon Braves got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Alexandria Aces. The Herndon Braves scored in the first on an RBI single by Andy Mocahbee and a two-run double by Ryan Owens.

Mocahbee was hot from the plate for the Herndon Braves. Mocahbee went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run.

Jake Wersinger (0-2) took the loss for the Alexandria Aces. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
