Sam Montgomery had two extra base hits as the Frontier Greys (4-7) took home a 3-2 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (4-6) in seven innings at Wuerfel Park on Thursday.

Colin Feldtman picked up the win for the Frontier Greys. Feldtman pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Sam Bumpers went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Chuck Ghysels pitched lights out for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Ghysels held the Frontier Greys hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Anthony Montefusco (0-2) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed three runs.
