Despite the loss, the Nova Scotia's Brandon MacKinnon dominated the British Columbia's batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Alex Reid recorded his first win of the year for the British Columbia. He allowed three runs over six innings. Reid struck out three, walked two and gave up seven hits.
