Simpson allows no runs to lead the Tacoma past the SW Oregon 7-1

Tom Simpson kept the SW Oregon (19-26) off the board during his six innings of work and the Tacoma (34-12) beat the SW Oregon, 7-1.

Simpson allowed one hit, five walks and struck out five.

The Tacoma left no doubt in the outcome with three runs in the eighth. The Tacoma scored in the eighth on an RBI triple by Nathan Heath, a sacrifice fly by Lucas Eliason, and a solo home run by Clay Valenzula-Reece.

Heath racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Tacoma.

Brett Pearson couldn't get it done on the bump for the SW Oregon, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
