Cory Duggan struck out nine batters to lift the Douglas (17-19) to a 9-2 win over the Lane at Titan Field .

The Douglas blew out the Lane (26-18) thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Douglas scored four runs in the sixth on the Douglas scored in the sixth on a two-run double by Taylor Lawrence, an RBI double by Garrett Belanger, and an RBI single by Mitchell Jackman.

Lawrence racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Douglas.

Forrest Garcia had a hot bat for the Lane. Garcia went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Shane Quarterley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out four.
