Both the Linn-Benton (21-22) and the Pierce (21-22) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Linn-Benton that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-1 win at Triton Field .
Cole Miller put together a nice outing. Miller held the Pierce hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
A bright spot for the Pierce in the defeat was Matt Fish, who allowed only three runs while striking out nine.
Fish was charged with his third loss of the year.
