Austin Chauvin collected three hits, sparking the Bristol Blues (1-0) to a 3-1 victory over the Brockton Rox (0-1) on Thursday at Campanelli Stadium.

Dillon Burke pitched lights out for the Bristol Blues. The Brockton Rox managed just two hits off of the the Bristol Blues' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Nick Johnson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Brockton Rox, reaching base three times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Andrew David couldn't get it done on the hill for the Brockton Rox, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
