An outstanding effort by Tom Simpson carried the Tacoma (30-9) to a 7-2 win in seven innings over the Grays Harbor on Sunday at Olympic Stadium.
Simpson brought the heat against the Grays Harbor (3-32) during his outing. Simpson held the Grays Harbor hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out nine.
