Tuesday was a great day for Zac Wittmus, as Wittmus threw a shutout to carry the Medicine Hat Mavericks (19-14) to a 9-0 victory over the Lethbridge Bulls (26-9) at Spitz Stadium.

Wittmus held the Lethbridge Bulls scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out seven.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks blew out the Lethbridge Bulls thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run triple by Devin Johnson and a sacrifice fly by Zach Johnson helped the Medicine Hat Mavericks score four runs in the ninth. The Medicine Hat Mavericks had one hit in the inning.

Johnson racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Pat Kelley (4-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
