Blake Rowlett collected three hits, helping the Medicine Hat Mavericks (3-5) to a 5-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (3-5) on Sunday at Ross Wells Park.

He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Jason Tarapasky picked up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Tarapasky pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and four walks while striking out four.

Despite the loss, the Moose Jaw Miller Express' Tanner Spencer dominated the Medicine Hat Mavericks' batters, giving up three runs and striking out seven.

Spencer couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss.
