A walk-off two-run blast from Travis Steinke brought home the winning run for the Lethbridge Bulls (5-1) in a 6-4 victory over the Edmonton Prospects in 12 innings at Spitz Stadium on Friday.
Steinke had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and third innings and homered in the twelfth inning.
Matthew Beaton improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lethbridge Bulls. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Kent Hasler was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
The Lethbridge Bulls were sparked by Mitch Dornblut and Steinke, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.
