An eight-run explosion in the second inning lifted the Town Dock (5-3) to a 12-1 win in seven innings over the Mudville (3-5) at Cardines Field (Newport) on Monday.

The Town Dock scored in the second on , , an RBI single by Matt Thadeio, a two-run double by Josh Blais, an RBI single by Dave Bushnell, an RBI single by John Kalajian, and a groundout by Alex Kineavy.

Blais racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Town Dock.

Dylan Cummiskey picked up the win for the Town Dock. Cummiskey pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out one.

Josh Sokol (0-4) took the loss for the Mudville. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
