The Edmonds (23-6) beat the Skagit Valley (14-16) 6-5 on Sunday behind David Garza, who went 1-4 and hit a home run.
He homered in the fourth inning.The Skagit Valley had no answer for Nate Richards, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Skagit Valley managed just one hit off of Richards, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.
Brady Batt improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonds. Batt struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.
Tyrel Panter (1-1) took the loss for the Skagit Valley. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
