Pierce vs Tacoma: 2-4

The Pierce outdone by Hull and the Tacoma, 4-2

Alex Hull went 2-2, helping the Tacoma (22-9) to a 4-2 victory over the Pierce (13-17) on Sunday at Minnitti Field .

He singled in the first inning.

Greg Casper put together a nice outing. The Pierce managed just one hit off of the the Tacoma's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Tom Simpson improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tacoma. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked five and surrendered four hits.

Caleb Wallen was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
