The Tacoma (22-9) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Pierce (13-17) roared back to steal a 2-1 victory.

An RBI single by Hunter Redinger gave the Pierce the lead in the seventh inning.

Matt Fish baffled the Tacoma, striking out nine batters. Fish allowed one earned run, two hits and seven walks over six innings.

A bright spot for the Tacoma in the defeat was Cory Main, who allowed only two runs while striking out nine.

Kyler Phelps improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pierce. Phelps struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Dustin Wilson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Tacoma, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
