Joseph Doe went 2-3, sparking the Skagit Valley (15-20) to a 2-1 victory in eight innings over the Bellevue (25-14) on Thursday.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.Jacob Howard picked up the win for the Skagit Valley. Howard pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out four.
Zander Clouse was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Skagit Valley batters and allowing two runs.
Clouse was charged with his second loss of the year.
