The George Fox JV and the Chemeketa (13-12) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the George Fox JV that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-3 win at Chemeketa Baseball Stadium.

Zachery Muenster put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the George Fox JV. He doubled in the third and seventh innings and singled in the ninth inning.

A bright spot for the Chemeketa in the defeat was Patrick Thorpe, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Jake Timlan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the George Fox JV. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Jordan Knoll (1-3) took the loss for the Chemeketa. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The George Fox JV were sparked by Muenster and Jalen Drath, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
