Bryce Peterson went 1-4, sparking the Everett (10-11) to a 3-2 victory in eight innings over the Douglas (6-9) on Monday at Whalley Little League Park .
He tripled in the second inning.Michael Wood picked up the win for the Everett. Wood allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.
A bright spot for the Douglas in the defeat was Cory Duggan, who allowed only three runs while striking out nine.
Duggan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
