Joe Balfour hopes every outing could go as well as Monday, as Balfour tossed a shutout to carry the Mt. Hood (14-7) to a 5-0 victory over the Clark (9-14) at Mt. Hood .

Balfour held the Clark scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up seven.

Nick Gawley went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Mt. Hood. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Layne Sutten was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
