Lamar Briggs went 2-3, sparking the D.C. Grays (19-21) to a 4-2 victory over the Alexandria Aces (18-21) on Thursday at Frank Mann Field.

Connor Van Hoose brought the heat against the Alexandria Aces during his outing. Van Hoose held the Alexandria Aces hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Brett Netzer was solid at the plate for the Alexandria Aces. Netzer went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Reid Frazier improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the D.C. Grays. Frazier struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Jake Wersinger (4-3) took the loss for the Alexandria Aces. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
