Lamar Briggs went 2-3, sparking the D.C. Grays (19-21) to a 4-2 victory over the Alexandria Aces (18-21) on Thursday at Frank Mann Field.
He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.Connor Van Hoose brought the heat against the Alexandria Aces during his outing. Van Hoose held the Alexandria Aces hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Brett Netzer was solid at the plate for the Alexandria Aces. Netzer went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first and fifth innings.
Reid Frazier improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the D.C. Grays. Frazier struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
Jake Wersinger (4-3) took the loss for the Alexandria Aces. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
