Jordan Sergent went 2-2 as the Vienna River Dogs (21-18) took home a 3-2 victory over the Alexandria Aces (18-20) in seven innings at Frank Mann Field on Wednesday.

Nick DiEva baffled the Vienna River Dogs, striking out three batters. The Alexandria Aces' pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

Jack Gomersall improved to 6-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Vienna River Dogs. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Brandon Justice (0-1) took the loss for the Alexandria Aces. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
