The Baltimore Redbirds (28-11) beat the Gaithersburg Giants (12-27) 7-2 on Wednesday at Calvert Hall HS behind Stuart Fairchild, who had two extra base hits.
He tripled in the first and fourth innings.Jordan Carr put together a nice outing. Carr held the Gaithersburg Giants hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.
Kevin Ross (1-3) took the loss for the Gaithersburg Giants. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
The Baltimore Redbirds were sparked by Will Golsan and Fairchild, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.
