Quinn Carpenter threw seven scoreless innings to lift the D.C. Grays (18-21) to a 2-0 win over the Bethesda Big Train (28-10) at Washington Nationals Academy.

Luis Collazo was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the D.C. Grays batters and allowing zero runs.

Tyler Loptien (2-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
